My wife and I have been chatting about getting rid of our traditional grass lawn here in the Midwest. For the Midwest, clover is a fantastic, low-maintenance option that stays green and handles foot traffic well!
Another beautiful choice especially for sunnier spots is creeping thyme, and it also smells wonderful!
