I'm a strong advocate for native plants, so I'll be taking the no lawn approach for my house, but there's something that I need some explanation with. I saw that Pennsylvania removes any height limitation for native plants, but which plants are those? Anyone have a list?

That's awesome, are you leaning toward a meadow-style setup or more of a structured native garden look?

In Pennsylvania, the height exemption for native plants only applies to species that are native to your particular county or area. To find the official lists of native plants categorized by county, visit the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation's website.

Native just means plants that grow naturally in your region, so things like goldenrod, coneflower, bee balm, joe pye weed, etc. There's no master list, but your local extension office or native plant society usually has a good guide specific to PA
