Shade friendly grass alternative for Washington yard?

I'm in Bellingham, Washington and im looking for a good grass alternative for a shady area in my yard that barely gets sun most of the year. Anyone have any plant suggestions that do well in shade around here?

Hey, if you're still looking for more ideas, check out Irish Moss or Scotch Moss.
They're good options for a groundcover that can handle the shade and foot traffic.
They're not true mosses, but they create a dense, low-growing mat that stays green all year and handles our wet climate well!
If you want a bit more texture, Vinca minor or periwinkle is a good option too.
It's a vining groundcover with pretty purple flowers in the spring.
Just a heads up that it spreads pretty enthusiastically, so it's best for areas where you want it to fill in completely without a lot of competition from other plants!
